The weather forecast is looking spectacular for the first long weekend of summer!  The downtown facelift is almost complete.  New light poles are up and the crews are working hard to get everything completed in time for the weekend.

Besides the beautiful weather, all shops and stores will be open this weekend.  Mickey’s Boathouse is featuring Murray Andrews Saturday 7pm-11pm, GTs has live music all weekend and we have a new shop in town.  Ooh La La Fine Lingerie is now open on Bridge Street where “sexy comes in all sizes”.

Come to Port Stanley this weekend, we’re looking forward to seeing you!

Coming in 2012

Join us for Harbourfest taking place in Port Stanley from August 17th-19th.  Our featured attraction is the St. Lawrence II Brigantine Ship which will be offering free tours as well as VIP and Learn to Sail cruises on all three days of the event. Opening ceremonies are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 17th.  All of the VIP cruise participants will be provided with free hors d’oeuvres and non-alcoholic punch prior to the ship’s departure.

In celebration of the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812, we will also have members of the King’s Company and the Royal Scots setting up camp in front of the legion.  They will have tours of their camps and drills as well as skirmishes on August 18th at Little Beach.

General Brock himself will be on site giving oratory presentations about his travels through this area.  We are hoping to secure a midway, non-competing vendors and musical entertainment as well.

Please visit www.portstanleyharbourfest.com where you can see who the event sponsors are and find out the details about each cruise.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Event Planner, Sharon Lechner at (519) 633-6202 or at sharonlechner@rogers.com.

Hope to see you there!
